Don't be an amateur. Don't think you know better. Just change your damn oil regularly. This is an actual pump that came in to us. Owner just kept topping it off instead of doing a proper oil change or any other maintenance. The pump is now toast. Pumps are thousands of dollars. Oil is a fraction of that. Save money, be smart. Get some oil, have spare and NEVER have this issue.
